CANADA TO SHELVE WTO COMPLAINT OVER COOL.

The government of Canada announced on Tuesday, that they are going to shelve the objection to the World Trade Organization over the COOL, country of origin labeling.

This announcement comes after the final draft of the labeling was made public and concessions have been made to assist Canadian producers.

Canadian farmers have been concerned by the reluctance of the United States meat processor to accept Canadian pigs and cattle.

All meat sold in the United States, must now be labeled with the country of birth of the animal, no mater where the animal is fattened for meat.
