Cereals winner announced
Richard Wright, who farms, near Aslacton in Norfolk, has been presented with a brand new EcoRider that he won at Cereals 2008. The specially commissioned all terrain bike was a prize offered by Agrovista, the national agronomy and chemical distribution company, in a free to enter competition on their stand at Cereals.
Mr Wright was presented with his prize at his farm near Norwich by Nick Rainsley, marketing manager for Agrovista UK Ltd. He comments "It"e;s fantastic, I never thought that I would win something like this and was rather surprised when I got the phone call from Nick telling that my name had been drawn from all those that entered."
Mr Wright intends to use the Diesel Powered ATV for getting around the farm, towing trailers and general light duties, including working in his wife Sally"e;s equine business.
Nick Rainsley, the Marketing Manager, for Agrovista says "I am really pleased for Richard. The EcoRider generated an awful lot of interest at Cereals with a lot of people entering the competition to try and win it. I am really pleased it has been won by somebody who will see a benefit from it within their business.
This unique liveried bike was commissioned by Agrovista specially for the Cereals 2008 event, and manufactured in Scotland by Ecorider. Manocher Salek who is the Chief Executive of EcoRider comments "I am really pleased that the Ecorider has gone to Richard and will be used the way that these ATVs are designed for. This is the state of the art British built working bike and through our association with Agrovista at Cereals has helped us promote the bike to farmers and landowners that wouldn"e;t have necessarily seen it.
The EcoRider is British built and is available in petrol, diesel or bio fuel options and the diesel is capable of 120miles to the gallon. It is road legal and can be registered as an Agricultural Vehicle which allows it to run on red diesel giving a very cheap and economical work horse around the farm. The bike is capable of towing a quarter of a tonne and has a number of attachments that can be purchased to customise the bike for its working environment.
