POULTRY EXPORTS TO HONG KONG RESUME.

The exports of poultry meat and eggs resumed to Hong Kong this week, after a 21 day suspension over the outbreak of bird flu.

The export of live birds is also resumed and on the first day, 7,000 chickens, 4,800 pigeons, 1,300 pheasants were shipped live in cages to the Island.

There has been an increase in food inspection in Hong Kong, in the wake of the melamine food poisoning in dairy products and bird flu, that has swept across South East Asia in recent weeks
