Derabassi to be made dairy hub

The Punjab Cooperation Minister and Banur MLA Capt Kanwaljit Singh declared Derabassi block to be developed as a model block by the Milkfed for promoting dairy in and around this area.

Addressing a public meeting after inauguration of Bulk Milk Coolers at Handesra and Samgauli villages at Derabassi, while referring to inflation, he categorically accused the UPA government in the Centre for the same.

Singh said that cooperative department has planned this dairy farming scheme in order to bring White Revolution in the state and help the farming, landless and Dalit community increase their daily incomes.
