Sensitive chickens are demanding the right to stay indoors following a stoush between consumer group Choice and the Australian Egg Corporation, which represents 400 commercial egg producers.
Choice presented the egg corporation with a Shonky Award for misleading marketing last week because it allows "free-range" layers to be kept in crowded sheds so big that many of them can’t find their way to the door and never go outside.
