Equestrian film boost
A Midlands website that caters only for those people looking to take their horse on holiday with them is likely to fill an important niche in the market.
Using ridewelland.co.uk owners can search for accommodation on-line which they know will accept their mounts and provide the necessary stabling and other facilities for them.
Ride Welland, run by the CLA, was set up with the vision of promoting the Welland area as a destination of choice for equestrian tourism. Welland incorporates Melton Mowbray and Market Harborough in Leicestershire, Rutland, South Kesteven in Lincolnshire and East Northants.
Created using technologically advanced software, the website has a new and modern feel to it and includes a film produced by Media Dog Ltd – a Midlands based TV Production Company, which has Channel 5’s Gadget Show, as one of its many clients.
Tim Barnes-Clay, who narrated the film, said: "As former ITV producers we used our experience of programme making to capture the imagination of would-be tourists to the area. We even got Land Rover to loan us a Discovery model to help give the right rural feel the video."
Rob Shaw, Managing Director of Media Dog Ltd added: "It was a pleasure to film this project. It was a welcome change for us to escape the studios of Birmingham and head to some beautiful countryside locations.
"Partnering back up with my former ITV colleague, Tim Barnes-Clay, was a joy. Tim and the crew have done this project proud, and I am delighted to have Ride Welland as part of Media Dog’s burgeoning portfolio."
