Finland-Profits fall in Russian meat trade.

ATRIA PROFITS FALL.

Having this week spent 75 million euros on the purchase of Campomos in Russia and expanded to the old eastern bloc.

The profits for the Finnish meat giant Atria for the second quarter, were 17.3 million euros and did not reach market forecasts.

The shares dropped and have lost a quarter of their value in the last year..

The new meat complex in St Petersburg, that was due to open last fall, will now open in later in 2009.

The Russian market has been losing money but the company expects to turn this trend around in the short term.
