Hy-Lines Technical Director to retire
Following his official retirement at the end of August, Terry Ellener will continue to provide technical support to Hy-Line UK customers
Hy-Line UK's Technical Director, Terry Ellener, is to retire at the end of August, it was announced today. Terry is standing down after 11 years with the organisation, initially as Sales Director and most recently as Technical Director, during which time he has seen the company grow from 8 percent market share to over 35 percent.
"Having worked in the industry for over 39 years, in recent years I've witnessed its transformation beyond all recognition," said Terry. "From my early days at SAPPA (the Suffolk Agricultural Poultry Producers' Association) in Norfolk, rearing the Hubbard Golden Comet, through to introducing the Hy-Line Brown back in 1985, breaking into a new market is always a challenge and I'm pleased to say we've succeeded."
"Success in any industry depends on the support of a professional team and throughout my time at Hy-Line I've always been impressed by the commitment and dedication of the whole team. While I'm looking forward to spending more time with my five grandchildren I'm delighted to have been asked to provide independent consultancy to Hy-Line in the future," he added.
Paying tribute to Terry, Hy-Line UK's Managing Director Andrew Hignett added: "Throughout Terry's eleven years with us we have benefited from his considerable industry knowledge and his sheer professionalism. I'm delighted that Terry has agreed to act as a consultant to us in the future and his services will continue to be available to our customers through the Hy-Line UK office."
