Is your bookkeeper self-employed?

Do they know that they MUST register for the new Money Laundering Regulations that took effect from 15th December 2007?

Any person undertaking bookkeeping, accountancy or payroll services on a self-employed basis, needs to be registered under the new Money Laundering Regulations with either H M Revenue and Customs, or other appointed Supervisory Body, by 1st July 2008.

Failure to register and follow the procedures can result in criminal proceedings.

Registration via the Inland Revenue will cost £95.
