NEW BY PRODUCTS JOINT VENTURE.

Silver Fern Farms have linked up with Modena Investments, in a joint venture to process and market meat and bone meal, died blood and tallow.

Modena Investments, is owned by Australian Giant Landmark who work in conjunction with companies in South America and Europe marketing tallow.

Silver Fern produces about 150,000 tons of meat and bone meal, and 120,000 tons of tallow annually.

Tallow is the base for soap, detergents, shampoo and ladies make up in foundation creams and lipsticks.

Many large meat plants globally, produce the by products on the same site as thee meat plants, this may soon be outlaws and have to be done at a separate premises.
