NFU Vce President to address Welsh council
NFU Vice President, Paul Temple, will be guest speaker at the next meeting of NFU Cymru’s ruling body, Welsh Council, on Friday, 16 January 2009.
Mr Temple is a tenant farmer in a family partnership, currently farming 330ha on a mixed farm: arable farming (wheat and barley grown for seed, oilseed rape, vining peas with some land let for potatoes); livestock (140 suckler cows utilising permanent grasses); stores purchased for fattening, finishing 500 head/year. He is also Chairman of the COPA COGECA Cereals Group for European farming organisations and Vice Chairman of the Oilseeds & Protein Group.
Mr Temple will speak at the Welsh Council meeting about the current state of the agricultural industry. The meeting will be held at Ty Amaeth – Agriculture House, on the Royal Welsh Showground, Builth Wells, from 11am.
