Nigeria: Expert Calls On Govts to Improve Livestock Farming
An expert in animal science has called upon states and the federal government to improve livestock farming in the country.
President, Nigerian Institute of Animal Science, Professor Placid C. Njolu, made the call at the 6th Agricultural Summit in Abuja. He said states and the federal government should create an enabling environment for livestock farming to thrive in the country.
The livestock sub-sector not only has direct effect on the overall economic growth, but also impacts directly on the productivity of the population through nutritional outcome" he said.
