On-farm solutions for Norfolk

Organisers of the Norfolk Farming Conference - Anglia Farmers and Shaping Norfolk's Future - have set the theme for next year's event with the title of "Norfolk's Resourceful Future – on-farm solutions for our environmental challenges".

The conference will focus on sustaining farming resources such as soil and water in the face of climate change and pollution.

The annual event, which is sponsored by Brown & Co, Grant Thornton, Birketts Solicitors and NatWest, takes place at the John Innes Centre in Norwich on Wednesday, 21 February.

"Many of our members have expressed concern about the long term future of resources which are essential to their livelihood," said Clarke Willis, chief executive of Anglia Farmers. "We are responding to this with a conference of authoritative speakers and practical solutions."

Given the increasing popularity of the annual conference, farmers are given preference for tickets on a first-come, first-served basis. Tickets, for a full-day including breakfast, coffee, lunch and tea, cost £25 (+ VAT) each for members of Anglia Farmers and £30 (+ VAT) each for non-members.

Booking forms will be issued at the beginning of December. In the meantime more information can be found at www.norfolkfarmingconference.org .
