WORLDS BIGEST BARBECUE

28 TONS OF BEEF.

The event of the worlds largest barbecue, was held at the village of Mariano Roque Alonso in Paraguay, with 30,000 people in attendance and the judge from the Guinness Book of Records.

28 tons of beef was consumed in six hours, which is 7 tons more than the previous record.

The judge from Guinness Ralph Hannah, handed over the prized certificate to the local mayor of the village.

An idea of the volume of beef used, it would take a 40 foot reefer truck full of beef plus 3 one ton vans, to carry 28 tons of beef.
