PORK FOR KOREA.

The Polish Chamber of Commerce, along with numerous pork processors are taking their wares to Korea in May to the Food Fare in Kintex, in order to try and get a share of the giant Korean market for pork.

This will be followed by a big presence at the Gwangju Fair, in order to promote Polish pork and pork products.

There will be newspapers and television advertising to help promote the pork, as Poland is trying to find new markets outside of Russian and the European Union.

Wislaw Rozanski, the president of the Polish Union of Producers and Employers of the Meat Industry, explained that with Poland having mainly small producers, the quality of the pork was far better than from large farms.


However there was a boots and all expose in the English tabloid press on Monday, that gave a scathing attack on the Polish pig farming, naming America interests in Poland that were keeping pigs in far from good conditions.

In essence the articles suggested that meat from Poland should not be allowed into the United Kingdom, for the Polish farmers do not comply with the animal welfare laws in the same manner as the British farmer
