PROSECUTIONS IN PORK RE-CALL.

The oil thought to have caused the pig contamination, that led to the largest meat re-call in the nations history, has been sent to a laboratory in Germany for analysis. Its quite amazing that a substance can be banned in meat in a country, yet they do not have the means to test it.

When the re-call was initiated, equipment had to be obtained from the United Kingdom to actually test the meat for dioxins. The companies involved in the supply chain have denied responsibility for the oils which allegedly contaminated the pig feed.

There are claims that re-cycled oil was used in the pig feed. How many people can remember the train loads of pig swill that were sent all over England after the war, with sacks of pig swill made up from the left over food and potato peelings from the British troops, all the waste food from hospitals and prisons went for pig food, its fortunate that these elaborate state of the art testing facilities, were not around in those days.

What is even more amazing, is that there was no such thing as a meat re-call and no recorded incidents of any type of sickness, is this really progress or just more red tape.
