Retailers can keep up to date with the latest developments in the rapidly moving payments sector and receive expert advice at the UK’s largest payments event.
PayExpo, taking place 9 – 10 June at London’s ExCeL, is the perfect place to hear from the UK’s largest retailers and leading e-tailers on new payments technology as well as developments in the prepaid and loyalty sector.
The event includes a comprehensive conference with streams specifically designed for retailers. The Merchants Payments conference enables retailers to share best practice in converting browsers to buyers online, and in-store, how retailers are ensuring their POS systems keep customers returning with a fast, efficient service.
Mat Braddy, Brand Board Adviser at Just Eat, is covering the introduction of new payments technology and creating a seamless customer experience. An expert panel including e-commerce specialists Glen Richardson, Chief Marketing Officer at Fruugo.com and Danièle Thillmann
SVP Fraud and Customer Service at Greenman Gaming will debate what digital payments should actually mean for merchants.
One of the largest leisure venues and catering operators in the UK, the Rugby Football Union, will share how they introduced mobile payments for Twickenham fans, allowing customers to pre-pay for food and drinks to minimise queuing and provide an exclusive preview of what they will be introducing next.
Ilaria Presotto, Head of Business Development at Illy Caffe, will explore the factors to consider when matching channel to consumer.
“Digital payments are the obvious path for companies to follow”, Illaria comments, “as a route to boosting both loyalty and sheer number of consumers.”
Illy is currently trialling various payments solutions, both in Italy, their main target market and home to their headquarters, and in the UK, one of their key countries within Europe.
“The criteria that these new payment solutions need to meet are relatively simple. They need to be simple and speedy. After all, consumers don’t usually have much time to wait around for their caffeine hit!”
The Prepaid Gifting and Loyalty conference stream includes a wide variety of interesting case studies from major retailers such as Amazon and Wickes.
Zehra Chudry, Conference Director at PayExpo, explains: “Omni-channel payments are re-defining how consumers can purchase from retailers. Leading retail experts are set to explore which payment channels are worth investing in alongside the factors to consider when matching channel to consumer.
“As the largest event of its kind in the UK, PayExpo offers a comprehensive insight into the industry covering the latest trends and examples of best practice.
