RUSSIA-MEAT BAN ON JBS-SWIFT.

Imports of pork from a JBS-Swift & Company pork slaughter plant in Louisville , Kentucky has been barred from doing business with Russia after April 29th.

USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service says listeria on pork fat may have been detected. FSIS spokeswoman Amanda Eamich says – listeria is not considered an adulterant on raw product. Like many previous similar situations, more information is awaited.
