220 Tons of Poultry from the USA and 30 Slaughter Bulls from Lithuania to Be Imported with Violation of Russian Veterinary Requirements
Three vehicles with cargo shipped from Lithuania, Germany and the USA were arrested on the state border of the Russian Federation due to violations of veterinary requirements.
Department of Federal Agency for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision (Rosselkhoznadzor) for Tver and Pskov Region reported about arrest of one section with poultry meat of US origin (219.99 tons) in a view of absence of Rosselkhoznadzor’ license for the cargo transit in the territory of the Russian Federation. As soon as the license was received the cargo transit was allowed.
Import of 30 slaughter bulls from Lithuania to Russia was forbidden as well. The license for the imports was provided as well and the cattle were sent to the point of destination.
A vehicle with a shipment of cream from Germany was also arrested. It was established that the date of the dairy product manufacturing didn’t correspond to the data specified in the veterinary certificate provided by the exporting country. The cargo was placed for storage in an isolated warehouse.
