RUSSIA-INCREASED MEAT PRODUCTION.

The TAVR Group, the largest producer and processor in the South of Russia (part of OOO "Agrokom Group", Rostov Region) increased sausage and ready-to-cook product manufacturing output by 14.4% to 50.24 thousand tons in 2008 compared with 2007, as press-service of Agrokom Group reported to IA "Interfax-South".

Product distribution volume grew by 17% up to 51.3 thousand tons. Sausage product sales increased by 16% up to 48.9 thousand tons, while ready-to-cook product sales dropped by 20.5% to 1.2 thousand tons.

Sales revenue for the reporting period totaled to 5 billion 779.8 million rubles, up 38% compared with the rate of 2007.
