The Spanish-Argentina oil company Repsol-YPF, is selling a 20% stake in the company, to Russian Oil giant Lukoil.

This will give the Russian company, a large foot-hold in 30 countries of Latin America and Africa.

The Lukoil company is privately owned, however the US Conoco Phillips oil conglomerate , has a 20% stake in the company.

This will give the Russian company, a 29.5 % stake in the Argentina oil giant including the shares that they are already holding, making them in fact the largest shareholder.
