The storms that swept through the state on Tuesday brought some much needed rain, but the sun came back Wednesday and Thursday, highlighting the fact that the state's drought problems are not over.
"The storms didn't help, but as far at the water, it was a big help," said McCleansville farmer William May. "I hope we get some more."
May has strawberries in the ground and is waiting for them to bloom. His greenhouse is full with tall tomato plants that are already bearing fruit. He also has cucumbers and a row of pepper plants.
"Right now they're looking good, but just when it gets hot and dry they can go downhill fast," said May.
