Sheep has throat and ears cut off in brutal North Yorkshire attack
A sheep has been brutally killed by having its throat and ears cut, near a North Yorkshire town.
North Yorkshire Police said the sheep was attacked in the Pannal area, near Harrogate, between Sunday, July 30, and Monday, July 31.
A police spokesman said the sheep’s throat had been cut, and its ears had been cut off.
He said: “Please remain vigilant in the rural area and report suspicious activity.”
Last month, lambs were killed and had their ears cut off in a bizarre attack on a Co Down farm, Northern Ireland.
Eight sheep had their ears sliced while three others were stabbed in the throat on a farm at Temple Hill Road, Ballyholland, near Newry.
