GOVERNMENT PROMOTE LOCAL BEEF,

The recent problems and public outcry in Korea over BSE, have forced the government to invest more into local beef production,The cattle herd has already increased in the last 5 years, from 1.67 million to 2.37 million head of cattle.

There is a huge anti American furore going on in South Korea, most of it originating from misleading media reports.

Australian beef exporters have not capitalized as much as they thought, from the sentiments and the consumers are turning to white meat from pork and poultry.

The government are offering tax incentives to farmers, for participation in the beef and pig fattening industries.
