Taw Valley Creamery in North Tawton, Nr Okehampton, Devon achieved five 1st places, three 2nd places and three 3rd places. Newly appointed Managing Director, Neil Kennedy, commented on The Cheese Company's latest success; saying
"We were up against some very tough competition this year, and all our cheeses, not only from Taw Valley and Reece's creameries, but Lockerbie and Tuxford and Tebbutt too, all performed brilliantly. The Cheese Company is in an excellent position to improve even further on this success and we will continue to make high quality cheeses at our production facilities across the UK for everyone to enjoy. I for one am proud to have joined the company."
In addition, in the retail classes Iceland won 1st prize for its crumbly territorial cheese Wensleydale, and 3rd prize for its Cheshire cheese, which are both produced by Reece's; and 2nd prize for its Blue Stilton, produced by Tuxford and Tebbutt.
