BELGIUM.

1,400 TON MEAT FRAUD.

Authorities in Belgium, are investigating a massive fraud in relation to 1,400 tons of meat.

The meat was seized recently by authorities in the Ukraine, where it was being transported by train from Belgium.

The meat was going for further processing, yet despite the documents and health certificates being current, the meat dates back to 1999 and was part of the meat seized in the dioxin scare of the time, it was marked unfit for human consumption.

The Belgium Food Authority (FAVV), is assisting the authorities in Ukraine with their inquiries.

Ukraine is the world capital of reject meat and out of date supermarket trays.
