180 PIGS TRAPPED DURING FARM BLAZE IN OXFORD.
There was a farm fire in the piggery at Upper Farm, Warborough, Oxfordshire, on the morning of New Years Day, at just after12 midnight of New Years Eve.
The shed holding 180 pigs was on fire, fortunately they were moved in time to an alternative shed, while firemen dealt with the blaze until 5 am in the morning.
There were no injuries to the pigs or any workers or firemen, the fire was accidental according to a spokesman for the Oxfordshire Fire Service.
