SURGE IN SALES OF FROZEN FOODS.
The frozen food market in the United Kingdom, has grown by 5.8% in the last year to a staggering 4.8 billion ponds sterling.
Ready to serve meals are growing at 3,8% per year, as people make the switch to convenience foods.
The pizza trade has grown by 6.3%, according to Brian Young of the BFFF.
The industry has launched a new web site, at www.thenewiceage.com which will be funded by retailers and processors.
According to Young, the industry expects more growth for 2009.
