United Kingdom-Lorry overturns carrying 240 pigs.

UNITED KINGOM-CATTLE LORRY OVERTURNS.

A lorry load of pigs has overturned on a Lincolnshire road leading to some of the animals having to be put down.

Police were called to the A16 London Road at Burwell, just before 0730 GMT after reports a lorry containing 238 pigs had crashed.

The driver was unhurt but 15 pigs will have to be put down due to injuries.

The road was closed on Tuesday and diversions were put in place while emergency crews removed the pigs from the scene.
