United Kingdom-Surge in beef and lamb exports.

UNITED KINGDOM.

SURGE IN MEAT EXPORTS.

During the month of October beef exports were 8,000 tons and lamb exports 6,000 tons from the United Kingdom.

Total meat exports for the first 10 months of 2008, were up by 30% on the figures for 2007, according to Eblex.

There has been a shortage of lambs in France and a shortage of cow beef on the whole of the continent of Europe.

The current level of the pound could in fact see meat exports go far above any recorded projections.
