United States-Bush signs last trade deal.

TRADE AGREEMENT.

President George W Bush, signed the trade agreement with Peru as one of his last acts in office. The United States and Peru began on Friday the implementation of the free trade agreement, just days before the president leaves office, despite concerns over labor and environment issues.

The proclamation signed by President Bush, makes Peru the 17 th free trade partner to the US and the 14 th added since Bush took office.

Trade between the United States and Peru, amounts to around US$9.5 billion a year.
