Sonic, which bills itself as America’s Drive-In, has introduced a new Premium Grilled Chicken Sandwich served on a wheat bun made with whole grain.

The restaurant also offers fresh apple slices with fat-free caramel dipping sauce as a side order choice to replace French fries.

"We are delighted to extend our menu offering to include these nutritionally balanced options," said Paul Macaluso, vice president of marketing at Sonic. "Our customers have asked for menu variety, and we are pleased to include these great-tasting items that are perfect for the whole family."
