UNITED STATES-GRAIN EXPORTS.

Wheat: Net sales of 232,200 metric tons were up 91 percent from the previous week and 8 percent from the prior 4-week average. Increases reported for Nigeria (90,000 MT), Japan (43,800 MT), Canada (26,800 MT, including 25,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), Venezuela (19,000 MT), unknown destinations (15,500 MT), the Dominican Republic (15,000 MT), and the United Arab Emirates (14,000 MT), were partially offset by decreases for Peru (6,000 MT), Honduras (3,600 MT), and Yemen (800 MT). Net sales of 199,300 MT for delivery in 2009/10 were primarily for Taiwan (86,400 MT), South Korea (66,800 MT), the Philippines (19,000 MT), and Singapore (16,500 MT). Exports of 387,500 MT were down 20 percent from the previous week and 21 percent from the prior 4-week average. The primary destinations were Japan (72,700 MT), China (58,600 MT), the Philippines (46,000 MT), Mexico (45,900 MT), Yemen (34,200 MT), Cuba (26,800 MT), and Canada (26,300 MT).

Corn: Net sales of 1,214,300 MT were up 40 percent from the previous week and 11 percent from the prior 4-week average. Increases reported for unknown destinations (425,000 MT), Japan (317,000 MT, including 56,300 MT switched from unknown destinations), Mexico (141,000 MT), South Korea (116,900 MT), Venezuela (91,400 MT), Syria (44,000 MT, including 42,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), and the Dominican Republic (20,500 MT), were partially offset by decreases for Panama (3,000 MT), the French West Indies (2,900 MT), Guatemala (2,800 MT), and Canada (1,600 MT). Net sales of 69,500 MT for delivery in 2009/10 were for Guatemala (61,000 MT) and Honduras (8,500 MT). Optional origin sales of 60,000 MT for Egypt were exercised to export from other than the United States. Exports of 1,026,900 MT were up 20 percent from the previous week and 12 percent from the prior 4-week average. The primary destinations were Japan (298,000 MT), Taiwan (173,500 MT), Egypt (130,700 MT), Mexico (97,400 MT), Taiwan (87,000 MT), Venezuela (77,100 MT), Syria (44,000 MT), and the Dominican Republic (29,900 MT). Note: Accumulated exports were adjusted down 9,900 MT for Japan.


Barley: There were no sales reported during the week. Exports of 200 MT were for Mexico.

Sorghum: Net sales of 35,500 MT were for Mexico (28,600 MT) and Japan (12,900 MT, including 12,100 MT switched from unknown destinations). Decreases were reported for unknown destinations (6,000 MT). Exports of 27,200 MT were for Mexico (21,000 MT) and Japan (6,200 MT).
