Elizabeth Billmeyer, formerly a manager in Agriprocessors Inc.’s human resources department, pleaded guilty in federal court on Monday to one count of conspiracy to harbor undocumented aliens for profit and one count of knowingly accepting false resident alien cards.

She was one of several managers, supervisors and executives to face criminal charges in the wake of the raid by Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents in May 2008. In that raid, 389 undocumented immigrants were arrested. The various criminal charges include obtaining false Social Security numbers for illegal immigrants, conspiracy and violations of child labor laws.

Two people who worked under Billmeyer in the company’s HR department already have pleaded guilty.

Until last summer, Agriprocessors was the country’s largest kosher slaughterhouse. The company now is in bankruptcy, and its future is uncertain.
