United States-Problems at the USDA.

UNITED STATES.DOCOTOR DOCTOR HEAL THY SELF.

The meat re-call’s in the United States over the last year amounted to more than the total meat production in many European countries, so what has been going wrong.

First and foremost is has not been the fault of the producer or the animals and birds delivered the meat plants, rather the procedures in those plant which are overseen by the USDA.

The main causes of the recalls were salmonella and e-coli both of which are spread by unhygienic habits or procedures at the plants.

There would be more risk of catching e-coli from a chefs cleaning cloth or a tea towel in family home than any equipment in a meat plant.

So human error has to be the main cause of the spread of the disease along with animal faeces left on the carcass during the dressing procedure.

For years the USDA have been a law unto themselves and this situation became worse under the last eight years of Bush.

The bully boy tactics over BSE worked on Mexico but not on Japan and South Korea in relation to bee.

The fiasco in regard to hormones in beef and chlorine in poultry plants could have been resolved 10 years ago, rather than trying to enforce the American will on the European Union.

Olympic athlete are sent to prison for using growth hormones, so why should Europe and be forced to eat beef containing them.

The salmonella in tomato’s was never resolved and the current fiasco with peanut butter reeks of more cover up and manipulation of the truth.

The United States of America enjoys the world worse reputation for meat hygiene today from meat exporting countries.

The recent dumping of beef on the market of South Korea is now back sliding into yet another debacle, as the market resistance has been grossly under estimated.
