ARGENTINA-BEEF EXPORTS.
The Russian trade is beginning to move at a slow pace and taking up some of the manufacturing cow beef.
The Hilton quota has been divided between 27 beef plants for the 28,000 tons that has been allocated.
There is a contract being filled for Venezuela for 25,000 tons of compensated sides of yearling beef.
The order demands the meat cut into retail packs, that will be sold direct to the public from the Venezuelan government supermarkets at a subsidized price.
There has been a price rise in the retail butchers shops and supermarkets, there has not yet been much of a bite back from the public on the inflated prices.
However fruit and vegetables are very low in price with potatoes costing only US$20cents/kg, tomato’s US$30cents and apples and oranges US$30cents kilo.

Striploin US$450c/kg
Chuck US$300c/kg
Assado (bone in flank) US$350c/kg
Topside US$400c/kg
The cooked meat market is once more the backbone of the beef industry, taking the lions share of the manufacturing cows, that have been going to Russia for the last 8 years.
