ARGENTINA-CHANGES AT MEAT HEADQUARTERS.

The government has introduced changes to the upper management structure of the National Food and Farming Health and Quality Service (SENASA) whereby the latter is now headed by a president and an executive vice-president, the Official Gazette yesterday said.

The change reflects "the need to streamline decision-making institutional mechanisms pertaining to policy and management functions." The text released by the Gazette added that the change aims to "ensure better performance in essential areas of SENASA’s work such as sanitary standards for animals, vegetables and farm foodstuffs."
