Prices were very slack and the only demand was for the home market.
You could take your pick of the best runs of cattle at US$85c/kg and back to 65c/kg for lesser types.

Heavy steers 65c/kg
Yearling steers 85c/kg
Yearling heifers 80c/kg
Butchers cows Angus 55c/kg
Bulls 45c/kg
Steaker cows 40c/kg
Manufacturing cows 25c/kg
The big calf weaner sales are over now and the season ended up with an average price of around 90c/kg for the very best Angus and Hereford calves.
