Argentina-Concerns over soy farming.
ARGENTINA.
CONCERNS OVER FARMING.
The area to grow soybeans has increased 126% in the last decade, to an area covering 16.6 million hectares today.
The hike is likely to continue, with the repeal of the controversial tax laws on July 17.
With such guaranteed high prices for soy, no one is going to be interested in the production of cattle or dairy farming.
Experts are concerned that Argentine farmers are in a boom or bust cycle, with soy at the expense of other farming options.
