Argentina-Farmers back on the Warpath.

ARGENTINA-NOTHING IS EVER ENOUGH FOR FARMERS..

Just hours before farmers in one of the worlds bread baskets took to the roadside blockades again, marking the first anniversary of the epic dispute with the government over soy taxes. President Christina Fernandez de Kirchner, again accused the farmers of reaping extraordinary gains and said if they don’t help now, that she will not be able to maintain the economy of Argentina.

" I am the President and cannot do things alone we need the cooperation of the farmers yet nothing is ever enough to satisfy them" said the President on Wednesday.

Farmers argue, that the government is seeking to fleece them and that the prevailing economic model, is actually favoring the concentration of the economy, which is making small and mid sized farmers disappear.

Farm leaders have called on grass roots members, to line along side the roads of Argentina, followed by central rallies to celebrate the one year since they began complaining.

The global financial crisis and the drought this season, will lead to a 30 million ton drop in the grain harvest this year.
