FARMERS WARN OF LOOMING PROTESTS.

Farmers who last year staged the longest ever farm strike in the nations history, said on Thursday that they would stage a similar ban on the sale of grain and cattle if the government pays no heed to their claims.

President Christina Fernandez de Kirchner, refers to the farm leaders as coup mongers and it constantly reminded of the careless slip of the tongue last year.

The farm leaders are planning the dispute to begin in two weeks, which means that they will all have finished their 6 weeks holiday by then.

The farmers are gain demanding the removal of the 35% export tax on soy and emergency funding for drought assistance.

When asked by the Buenos Aires Herald at a press conference on Thursday, if they were trying to destabilize the government before the mid term elections, farm leader Eduardo Buzzi replied, " On the contrary we want to avoid confrontation, the president is overseas and the country is going up in flames".
