Argentina-Free Beef at Dakar Rally.

ARGENTINA.FREE BEEF AT DAKER RALLY.

The Dakar car rally being run in Argentina this year, had a surprise element on Saturday, when beef farmers from La Pampa set up stalls beside the road cooking the famous Argentine beef, for spectators, reporters and anyone involved.

The farmers displayed large placards in the hope of getting world wide television coverage which said, "The best beef in the world, in the hands of the worse politicians in the world".

The signs were written in English, French, German, Italian and of course Spanish. The race organizers were also served beef and there was no hindering of the rally or traffic.

The farmers of Argentina, are far from satisfied with the governments plans in regard to the dairy industry or the exports of beef and grain.

Former world champion Formula One motor racing identity Carlos Reutamann, has declared that he will run for president in the elections of 2010. Carlos who was the former governor of Santa Fe, is very popular with the rural community.
