The government leaders met on Friday, to discuss the new farm bill and decide how best to put the proposed new plans into action.

This has been the first serious move by the government since the President came into office and despite the verbal swipes there appears to be a little harmony between both parties for the time being.

President Christina Fernandez de Kirchner has urged the farmers to be responsible in a speech on Thursday, while the farmers are saying that the moves by the government are insufficient to meet their needs.

Vice president Julio Cobos, has said that he is not a candidate for the next election to run for the office of president.
