Argentina-Storms break the Drought.

ARGENTINA.

STORMS BREAK THE DROUGHT.

The desperately need rain has arrived in Argentina, especially in the wheat belt of Santa Fe, but what a price we had to pay with 5 people dead and close to 50 people injured in the storms.

The light rains commenced at the weekend but not enough to satisfy the parched land, then the heavens opened and prayers were answered as the storms ravaged the country.

Five people including two young children died in the storms over central Argentina and 47 were reported injured.

The rains and storms lashed the city of Rosario that boasts 20 meat export plants and trees were uprooted as the storm swept through.

Rosario is the grain capital of Argentina, 300 Km from Buenos Aires, there have been rains over the state of Buenos Aires and more rain is expected by the weekend.

The situation in Argentina is no identical to that of Northern Australia from drought to flood and from dust to mud.
