Argentina-The soy harvest.
ARGENTINA-SOY HARVEST.
The rain that came to Argentina in abundance four weeks ago, was to late to prevent the damage that had been done to the crops, during the worse drought in the history of the country.
However the late planting that took place, could see a surge in the second harvest.
The drought battered many plants in the early stages of growth.
The drought has hit the corn crop even harder than the soy crop, the harvest could be as much as 35% less than initial estimates.
Overall soy production is now estimated at 42.5 million tons, the corn harvest at 14.5 million tons.
The weather is in the hands of God alone, the recent rains have freshened up the countries farms.
