CHANGE IN WEATHER.
After the hottest November since 1955, Argentina endured the heaviest rainfall in 10 years for the last two days of the month, on Saturday and Sunday.
There were 50 mm of rain reported falling in Buenos Aires on Saturday afternoon, in a period on 40 minutes, bringing traffic to a standstill and closing the airport as well as the underground train system.
The country areas needed the rain and the South Atlantic winds very soon blew the ground dry again, despite the chaos in the city.
The hot spell caused 20 tons of fish to wash up, in a lake at Lobos in Buenos Aires, the deaths were caused by the unusual hot temperatures of up to 42 degrees.
The heat encouraged the growth of seaweed that got caught in the gills of the small fish, according to a government spokesman. The silverside and shad fish, were the ones mostly affected
