LAMB SEASON STARTS.

The four main European Union approved lamb plants in Patagonia, began production of suck lambs six weeks ago, for Italy and Spain.

The first lambs of the season are 8 to 12 kilos, so the market is limited to Italy, Spain and Greece who prefer small lambs.As the season goes on, the lambs will be heavier and the Middle East and Europe will come into play.

The season ends in May, when the winter snow begins and Patagonia becomes a ski resort.

This season is going to be difficult enough, with the very low Australian and NZ dollar, all exports from Argentina are in US dollars by law.
