AUSTRALIA-CALF SALES.

THE 12th Annual Central Tablelands Cold Country Blue Ribbon Weaner sale held at the Central Tableland Livestock Exchange (CTLX), Carcoar, last Friday drew a mammoth yarding of 7700 weaners from across the tablelands and surrounding districts.

It was a record sale for CTLX and the general murmour from the selling agents at the sale concluded it was also a State record.

CTLX saleyards manager Nathan Morris, said he had made a few phone calls prior to the day and hadn’t found any record of a bigger sale.

Buyers flocked from all around the State, including Condobolin, Coonamble, Warren, Moss vale, Goulburn, Cowra, Tamworth, Pakenham (Victoria), Mudgee, Nyngan, Walgett, Molong, Narrabri, Merriwa, Wodonga, the southern parts of Queensland as well as the local area.
