AUSTRALIA-CATTLE FUTURES.Futures comment - EYCI gains

The EYCI gained ground this week, increasing 8.75¢ on last Wednesday to finish this Thursday at 323¢/kg cwt.

The cattle futures market remained subdued, with only two May 09 contracts traded during the week. Settlement prices across all contracts gained 5¢ on last week.

The lack of trading interest on the futures board has seen the spot month contract price lag behind the physical market.
