Australia-Giant agricultural company ceases trading.

One of north-west Victoria’s biggest employers has called a trading halt on its shares ahead of an announcement about asset sales.

Agricultural management firm and corporate farmer Timbercorp operates almond and olive plantations between Mildura and Swan Hill.

The trading halt was called on Wednesday.

The company last month increased its debt provisions from $24 million to $42 million to ease pressure on loan and project payment defaults.
